A certified Life Cycle Celebrant is an ordained Officiant. I also happen to be a Metaphysical Minister. So, what does it all mean for you?
A ceremony that reflects who you are, what your values are and what you want to bring forward into your marriage.
I perform only a few weddings a year; check early to see if your date is available!
I am Ordained and licensed thru the Bancroft Centre for Awakening Spiritual Growth (BCASG), which means that I am a non-religious, Metaphysical Minister. I work in an all-encompassing spiritual context, using Blessings and poetic readings to reflect your beliefs and values about marriage.
We start with a meeting in person to talk about your ceremony and questionnaires to allow me to know you a little better so that I can write your personal story. Your ceremony is written just for you and includes your love story, it can include multiple readings, rituals and elements of your choice, including different ways for your loved ones to participate if that is your desire. You determine what goes into your ceremony.
Love Story includes:
My ceremonies are original and unique, a personalized custom ceremony crafted from information you provide in interviews and questionnaires in the package called Your Love Story. I share your love story and get creative with readings that are meaningful to you. This is also a ceremony of choice if you’re a creative couple, if you’re looking to express yourselves through your wedding ceremony, if you want a ceremony with lots of opportunities to include family and friends, or if you’re an interfaith or multicultural couple looking for ways to balance traditions and make them your own. It’s all about options!I also provide a Sweet & Simple service and one I call the "Git 'er Done" which is the required legal elements of a marriage service.
The Life Cycle Celebrant program came from Australia and is over 50 years old. The Institute is in New Jersey and the courses are offered online. I studied celebrations and rituals from around the world and then studied the art of designing a wedding ceremony.
I perform wedding ceremonies; traditional and non-traditional weddings, LGBTQ weddings, Elopements and Vow Renewals. Celebrations of Life; Business, Home and Baby Blessings; and Guide Parent Ceremonies. I write BIO Legacies so that your eulogy is pre-written with your input.
I am a Reiki Master, a Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and Akashic Records Consultant. I use these modalities in my work as an Energy Reader and Medium. Please speak with me if you are interested in knowing more about this aspect of my work.
“I wanted to send a great big thank-you for being part of our ceremony. You brought an energy that is playful as mine and Aidan’s love, it was a perfect match. The blending of ceremonies and culture made the whole thing feel personalized more than I could have imagined. It touched each and every person in that circle, which was a beautiful sight to see and feel. The story was an awesome touch and bridge into the rest of our day! It was much funnier hearing it from you than it would have been if either of us initially read it, so glad you read that one too! After your car breaking down (which you all did well at keeping a secret), you still found your way there. (Algonquin Park!) I can only hope the purple jeep put a light in your day. You set us flying, I hope you know that : ) ” sending much love, Ashley & Aidan Smith
“We found Jessie during a quick google search. That was the best google search of our wedding, because we found a gem! Upon meeting us only once Jessie had an uncanny way of “reading us”. She wrote a ceremony for my husband and I that so perfectly matched our personalities. There were jokes, tears and smiles throughout! After the ceremony, we had multiple people mention to us how incredible our ceremony was and how our officiant captured our personalities so beautifully. Thank you Jessie for being a part of the best day of our lives, you will be fondly remembered as one of the best parts of the day! All our love, Jess and Matt!
We are so glad that we stumbled across Jessie Brandon. We contacted a few wedding officiants / clergy- most of them didn’t respond, and the ones that did wouldn’t perform same-sex weddings. However one of them suggested we contact Jessie. We are so glad we did. Jessie immediately contacted us, and was accepting and encouraging. After meeting her, we both knew we were making the right choice by hiring her. Throughout the whole planning process, and up to and including the wedding day, Jessie helped us in so many ways. She helped us keep calm, she recognized our need to have humour, she gave us suggestions we hadn’t even considered, and she encouraged us to make our wedding ceremony a unique and personal experience. We wanted to include some cultural customs in our ceremony, Jessie not only agreed but she encouraged and helped us find some ideas we could use. We had a small, intimate wedding. Jessie interacted with everyone at the wedding, and, as we did, everyone felt that she was part of our family. Everyone at the wedding told us later that our wedding was the most relaxed, wonderful and unique wedding they had ever attended. We will forever be grateful to Jessie for all of her help, and her expression of love and friendship she has offered us. We would give Jessie Brandon 10 out of 10!

“Thank you to my dear friend Reverend Jessie Brandon for marrying us by our backyard bonfire back in October & preforming an intimate ceremony that captured us & our relationship beautifully! … Jessie accommodated my crazy scheduling changes like a champ & managed to keep things quiet until we were ready to make our official announcement. Forever grateful.“ ~ Adria & Mark Howell
Jessie was beyond wonderful to work with. I could not have asked for a more down to earth, and funny woman to marry my husband and I. She made our ceremony so “us” that many people could not get over how wonderfully personal it was. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a Rev. to marry them! ~Jessica and Myke Barnetson
“After our first meeting with Jessie, we felt immediately assured that our wedding ceremony would be perfect for us. Jessie was fun, creative and respectful of spirit, just like us. Throughout the preparations, Jessie offered many options, flexed with our creativity and also provided the structure to help make our ceremony flow sacredly for us…and that love radiated to all present. Jessie was our trusted guide through the most important and beautiful day of our lives.” –David & Vanessa Willow
“We loved our ceremony! It was everything we wanted, simple and meaningful. Our guests commented all evening that they had never seen a wedding so lovely. We laughed so much and really enjoyed ourselves. Jessie, we just can’t thank you enough!”-Matt and Kim Pitts Jarvis
“Having Jessie officiate our wedding was one of the most pleasant experiences my wife and I have ever had. She is out going, always in a cheerful mood and to top it all off she is someone who enjoys her job whilst making it as enjoyable as possible for everyone else. She was open to many ideas and offered her own choices when a different option was suggested and provided more than enough info whenever we asked a question of her. Jessie is a caring woman who takes everyone under her wing and was well accepted and enjoyed by all attenders at our wedding. We can’t be more thankful for what she provided for us while our friends and family couldn’t stop complimenting her! Jessie is professional and to the point about how she has everything set up whilst keeping her positively enlightening attitude about her the entire time.
Thank you Jessie for everything you have done for my wife and I in starting our lives together!” – Dean and Nika Suessmann
Bringing a spiritual or metaphysical element into the ceremony creates a connection to the Divine. Using gemstones, The Four Elements, Traditional Medicines or other touchstones will bring that element of Unconditional Love, Peace and Joy into your day
There are so many ways to introduce a Unity element into your service! From the traditional lighting of candles or pouring the sand art to Celtic Handfastings, The Quiach Bowl, an Oathing Stone, a Whiskey toast, The Anniversary Wine Box and more. Tell me what you would like and I'll create a Unity symbol just for you.
So far I have performed Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter and Princess Bride Weddings. I can provide a Native Elder to assist with Indigenous elements in a ceremony. I've been on an island, in a canoe, at a fish camp and many miles into the Algonquin bush lo perform the ceremony of your dreams.
